| Monarchs Sign Jarrett; Announce Transactions |

MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed center Patrick Jarrett to a one-year contract and assigned him to the ECHL’s Reading Royals, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today. In addition, the Monarchs announced the following player transactions:

Jarrett, 23, played the last two seasons in Germany with the Berlin Polar Bears (DEL). In 85 games from 2005-07, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, collected 40 points (16-24=40) and 93 penalty minutes. Prior to going to Germany, Jarrett played with the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League for four years and recorded 220 points (72-148=220) and 155 penalty minutes in 225 games. Jarrett was selected by the Nashville Predators in the fifth-round (138th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
The Monarchs have 29 players remaining on their 2007 preseason roster (15 forwards, 10 defensemen and four goaltenders).
