American Hockey League Announces Suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, MA - The Manchester Monarchs, primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, announced today that the American Hockey League has suspended Monarchs right wing Justin Johnson for three (3) games, Manchester left wing Richard Clune has been suspended for one (1) game, Worcester Sharks left wing Frazer McLaren has been suspended for three (3) games and Worcester left wing Curt Gogol has been suspended for one (1) game, all as a consequence of their actions during pregame warm-ups prior to a game between the teams in Worcester on Tuesday, April 10. In addition, both clubs have been fined an undisclosed amount.
Johnson and Clune will miss Manchester’s game Friday, April 13 at the Connecticut Whale; Johnson will also miss Manchester’s games Saturday, April 14 vs. the Hershey Bears and Sunday, April 15 vs. the St. John’s IceCaps.
McLaren and Gogol will miss Worcester’s game Friday, April 13 vs. St. John’s; McLaren will also miss Worcester’s games Saturday, April 14 at the Adirondack Phantoms and Sunday, April 15 vs. Hershey.
The Monarchs travel to the XL Center to take on the Whale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13.
