Hello again to everyone in Monarchs Country! Last week was filled with a lot of excitement and also some sadness as the Monarchs were eliminated from the playoffs after losing in overtime of Game 4 to the Norfolk Admirals. Still, this season was a great one and this team has to be one of my favorite all-time Monarchs teams.
Last Thursday, I went to Southern New Hampshire University for their Social Media Kick-Off! What a blast! It is good to learn what is new with social media because it is ever changing. Social media is a great way to interact with family and friends all over the world! I am kind of hooked on it. I love social media! You can like my Facebook page and we can interact and share our favorite Monarchs stories!
When I am not in the Jungle, I have a lot of hobbies that keep me busy. One of those hobbies is learning about the stars. This Saturday, the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is having their Aerospacefest. Outer space fascinates me because there are so many unknowns. Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov may sound crazy when he says, “the solar system is so humongous big” but I think you will agree with him when you go to the Aerospacefest! I cannot wait until this Saturday at 2:00 p.m.!
While the Monarchs 2011-12 season is over, a bunch of the Monarchs will be joining the Los Angeles Kings in practice for the remainder of the post-season. My buddies Andy Andreoff, Justin Azevedo, Marc-Andre Cliche, Richard Clune, Linden Vey, Andrew Campbell, Thomas Hickey, Patrick Mullen, Jake Muzzin and Martin Jones are all in Los Angeles practicing with the Kings! Congratulations to those guys, they have earned it!
Looking at the big picture, we can still enjoy the Kings since more than half the team previously played in a Monarchs uniform. The Kings have won both of the first two games against the St. Louis Blues on the road!! The Kings are now 5-0 on the road in the playoffs and I know Bailey will have the hometown crowd going for Game 3 in Los Angeles this Thursday night! Go Kings!!!
