Let’s Go Kings!  Let’s Go Kings!! Let’s Go Kings!! Oh, sorry I am still excited the Los Angeles Kings swept the St. Louis Blues in four games in their best-of-seven series.  The Kings have advanced to the Western Conference Finals with 14 close friends and former Monarchs on their roster!
 
This past weekend, my buddies Dwight King and Jordan Nolan both scored their first career playoff goals!  An exciting moment for Monarchs Country but more exciting for King and Nolan, I’m sure! Congratulations guys!  Keep it going against the Phoenix Coyotes!
 
Saturday was the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby. I’ll Have Another was the winner of this year’s running of the roses.  One of the coolest oddities of horse racing is the names of the horses.  The Monarchs posted a question on Facebook and Twitter about what a Monarchs themed horse would be named and of all the submissions I have three favorites!  1. Hat Trick 2. Breakaway 3. Five For Fighting.  If you can think of any others, I encourage you to post them on my Facebook page!  Perhaps a horse owner will see it and name their horse in honor of your suggestion!
 
When I am not glued to the television watching the Kentucky Derby or the Kings, I enjoy doing my part in the community.  On Thursday, May 10, I will be at the grand opening the newest Goodwill Store and Donation Center in Derry, New Hampshire.  I know my friends have so many clothes they will never wear, so I always encourage them to donate unwanted items to Goodwill and I urge you to do the same this Thursday!
