Holy hot weather Batman!  This week has been the hottest week Monarchs Country has had in a long time!  I can only imagine how hot it was for the people at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway last weekend as Kasey Kahne pulled out the victory.

Just because it is hot out does not mean we can not play hockey!  On Friday, I am running up to the Concord Market Day Public Skate.  It is right on Main Street in Concord and they have an artificial rink for everyone to skate on!  Join me Friday after work for a great time!

If you cannot make it to Concord, then on Saturday, you have to come with me to the AHL Broomball Tournament at Conway Arena in Nashua!  Booster Club Broomball teams from throughout the AHL are going to be there for the tournament!  It is an all day event that starts at 7:00 a.m.  Is that early? Yes, but it is well worth the fun you get when playing Broomball with other hockey fans!  The Monarchs Booster Club are awesome hosts and will give the other teams a sun for their money.  Seeing members of my Monarchs family gets me excited for the season!  Gosh, I need October to be here like yesterday!  I am itching for the season to start already!

This Sunday is also going to be a great day.  I am going to Sundae at David’s House, next to Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD).  I cannot wait to have some ice cream and play games with the kids!  This is one of me favorite events of the year!

I want to take some time in this blog to congratulate Scott Pellerin as the new Head Coach of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Head Coach.  As soon as I heard the news, I talked with the Sound Tigers’ biggest fan, Storm, who wanted the rundown on their new Head Coach.  I told him the truth which was that he would love Pellerin because he is the nicest guy and a really great coach!  I also told Storm to wish him luck for me just not when they play the Monarchs!

I was in the Jungle the other day and took a sneak peek at the VIP Cup Design Logo contest submissions.  There are a bunch of great submissions and it will be interesting to see which one will win with so many great designs!  Check out the Monarchs Facebook page for information on how to vote for your favorite logo design and to help choose the winner!

It is going to be another great week and Summer Fan Fest is only nine days away!  There are a bunch of great events coming up and I do love an adventure!  Let me know if you are doing anything fun and I will tag along for the ride!
