Hello to all you fans out there in Monarchs Country! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as I did.  In the last week, I have been everywhere including the Monarchs Training Camp and let me be the first to tell you that this team looks great and is going to be really exciting to watch this season!

Training Camp officially started last weekend and I was overjoyed to see the Monarchs take the ice for the first time this season!  I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Los Angeles Kings Assistant Coach John Stevens who has been skating with the team in practice!  Watching the practices with all you super excited Monarchs fans got me riled up for our first exhibition game this Friday versus the Scott Pellerin led Bridgeport Sound Tigers at Sullivan Arena at 6:00 p.m.

The Monarchs also have a second home exhibition game in New Hampshire this weekend.  The game is at the ICENTER in Salem Monday and the puck drops at 3:00 p.m.  It will be their final tune-up before the regular season begins in Providence on October 12.  There is a large hungry group of Monarchs fans hanging out with me at Training Camp and I cannot wait to see everyone cheering them on at the games this weekend!

If you cannot catch up with me at the upcoming Monarchs games, there will be plenty of chances to see me out and about in Monarchs Country!  For instance, before the Monarchs game on Friday, I will be at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport for their Customer Appreciation Day. There will be music, contests and giveaways so do not miss your chance to win some free stuff and hang out with me Friday morning!

I am really excited to see all of our future Monarchs who have signed up for Learn-To-Skate with MRYHA on Saturday morning!  I have done a few of these skates before and if you do not know how to skate on ice, then you should definitely sign up for this event.  Once you learn how to skate, it is time to play hockey!  Just be sure to keep your stick on the ice!

Also this weekend, I am going to get back in touch with my wild side in the woods of Camp Carpenter!  I will be there Saturday afternoon for the Cub Scout Fall Family Camping Weekend.  There will be plenty of fun and activities going on for Cub Scouts and young Monarchs fans all weekend at Camp Carpenter and I will tell the best camp fire story there is-how the 2012 Stanley Cup Champions Los Angeles Kings were made in New Hampshire!

Thanks for reading my blog this week!  Things have been really heating up on the ice and there are only two weeks before the Monarchs open their home regular season on October 19!  I hope you are all as excited as I am for another winning season in the Jungle! See you all this weekend!
