Hello and Happy Holidays Monarchs Country!  It is the busiest time of year and I would not have it any other way!  I have been so busy and I have not had any time to make a list of presents I want this year!  Where do I start?!

Last Friday, I got an idea for what should be on my list this year.  I was at the Bellman Jeweler’s Holiday Party and saw some great jewelry.  What I didn’t see was a Los Angeles Kings Stanley Cup ring!  I think that would be tops on my wish list this year.  It is a must have item for any Kings/Monarchs fan!

On Tuesday, I went to Joker’s Bar and Bistro to meet up with a bunch of Monarchs players to play a little trivia!  I had a great time with defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk, defenseman Nick Deslauriers, goaltender Peter Mannino and left wing David Meckler.  I wish I had won trivia because I could have had won four tickets to see the Harlem Globe Trotters when they come to the Verizon Wireless Arena on February 23, 2013!

Last weekend, I helped out at the Hockey Across America program at Manchester’s West Side Arena and one of the things I learned is the importance of having good equipment when playing hockey.  This Saturday, I plan on heading over to Skaters Edge in Manchester around 11:00 a.m. to get hooked up with some great gear at great prices.  I cannot wait to skate circles around everyone in my new equipment!  Join me at Skaters Edge and maybe we can work out a ‘bundle’ deal when we buy our equipment together!

A great weekend in Monarchs Country continues with the Monarchs returning to the Jungle this Sunday for a very special game!  Sunday’s game is the Monarchs annual Teddy Bear Toss!  It is the most exciting goal because when the Monarchs score a bunch of stuffed animals will rain down on the ice.  It is a lot of fun and the Monarchs donate the stuffed animals to local charities for children to enjoy so don’t hold back when you throw it on the ice.  You have to toss it far to make sure it gets on the ice!

Hopefully, I will see you all this weekend!  Do not forget to bring your stuffed animal to throw on the ice this Sunday!  The Monarchs Care Foundation is selling stuffed animals in the front lobby for $5!  The Monarchs Pro Shop is also offering 10% off stuffed animals on Sunday while supplies last!  So buy a bunch and throw all of them on the ice for a good cause!  I have to go and find the purr-fect stuffed animal!  Go Monarchs!
