Monarchs Sign Sabourin
MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed right wing Scott Sabourin to a two-year American Hockey League contract, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Sabourin, 20, recently completed his junior career playing for the Ontario Hockey League’s Oshawa Generals. This season, the 6-foot-3, 203-pound right wing registered career-bests with 30 goals and 20 assists for 50 points and 142 penalty minutes in 65 games for the Generals. In three-plus seasons with the Generals, the Orleans, Ontario native tallied 46 goals and 34 assists for 80 points and 330 penalty minutes in 166 games. In the 2009-10 season, Sabourin played a majority of the season in the Capital Junior Hockey League’s Kanata Stallions registering four goals and two assists for six points and 64 penalty minutes in 43 games. Sabourin also suited up for the CJHL’s Brockville Braves for the 2008-09 season tallying nine goals and eight assists for 17 points and 64 penalty minutes. Sabourin will don No. 25 with the Monarchs.
