Hello to everyone in Monarchs Country! The Monarchs season came to an end all too soon but they had a great season and were truly one of my favorite Monarchs teams of all-time. I already cannot wait until next season!
Before I get ahead of myself and start playing out future scenarios of the 2013-14 season, I think you all need to know about the great summer that is already underway!
Last week, the fun summer events got off to a great start when I went to the Derry Village Scholastic Book Fair. I must have carried out close to 20 new books to read this summer! I also went to Lil Iguanas Family Fun Day at Nashua High School South. I had my face painted and almost won the coloring contest!
As the weather gets warmer, there is no place I would rather be than out supporting Monarchs Country. It is so rewarding to help those in need and to make a difference in the community. That is why on Saturday, I will be at Chelmsford High School in Massachusetts to assist with the Angelman Syndrome Walkathon. Check-in/registration starts at 9:00 a.m. and the walkathon starts at 10:00 a.m. You can pre-register and donate to the Angelman Syndrome cause by clicking here! I will see you at registration!
Then on Sunday, I will be going to Charmingfare Farm in Candia for their 22Q Day at the Zoo. I went to this event last year and had so much fun that I have had this year’s Day at the Zoo circled on my calendar for months! It really is a great event for an even better cause. I will be there from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. to do everything I can to raise awareness of the 22Q removal process and families that live with the chromosomal abnormality. I hope to see you all there for this great cause!
Well that is all I have for this week’s blog. I have to go and get ready for the Los Angeles Kings to open their second round playoff action against the San Jose Sharks! I sure hope they can repeat as Stanley Cup Champions! Until next time, Go Kings Go!
