School Programs

Monarchs Care Foundation

The Monarchs enjoy spending time with children, whether reading to them, talking with them about living a healthy lifestyle or playing hockey with them. The children, in turn, are always eager to meet and learn from professional athletes, who serve as excellent role models.

Winning With Wellness
Our Winning With Wellness program allows students to interact with players in an educational setting. The program, geared toward elementary students, features Monarchs players visiting schools throughout southern New Hampshire to discuss the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and exercise. The program includes interactive discussions and videos. It lasts about 45 minutes, followed by plenty of time for questions and autographs.

D.A.R.E. Graduation Program
In partnership with D.A.R.E. New Hampshire and the New Hampshire State Police, the Monarchs have a D.A.R.E. Graduation Video that includes members of the Monarchs and a drug-free message for area youth. The video production features several players talking to kids about the dangers of drugs, alcohol and violence.

Read Across America
Every March, players visit several schools in the area and read stories to some of our younger fans, primarily second and third graders.
